Hamilton Inferno Medium Duty Casters
Inferno™ Series Medium Duty Casters
Capacity Range: 360 – 960 lbs. Temperature Range: -22 – 750° F
Designed to excel in standard high heat applications, Hamilton's medium-duty Inferno Series products are a great option for numerous industries. These casters wheels are zinc plated with the most popular industrial mounting plate (4" x 4-1/2"). Two different swivel constructions are available to meet varying needs: the H52 models and the 52HK models.
The H52 models are standard-duty rigs with high-heat grease in their cold-forged raceways. They're a reliable and cost-effective solution. The more rugged 52HK models feature a durable kingpinless construction and are an excellent middle-ground value between the low-cost H52 option and the even tougher heavy duty high-heat products.
Unique dual-wheel casters are also available with the new Ultratherm Wheel. These products represent the highest-rated high-heat casters at 520 lbs. to provide both excellent floor protection and quiet operation. They are available in standard cold forged (H5242) or kingpinless (524HK2) swivel constructions. Reach out to Access Casters Inc. to learn more about the medium-duty options from Hamilton.
Quality Features & Specs
Review the individual caster wheels listed here for detailed product information. In general, this line offers the following features:
Swivel Construction: The H52 line used a formed steel mounting plate and horn base. Its legs are 1/4" x 2" plate steel, contoured, and continuously welded to the horn base. The 52KH line utilizes a mounting plate and inner raceway weldment constructed from 1045 steel.
Kingpin: All H52 products feature a 5/8" diameter orbitally formed rivet. 52HK products are kingpinless.
Main and Secondary Load Bearing: For H52 models, hardened and polished steel balls rotate in two heat-treated raceways. For 52HK casters, the raceway is CNC-machined for precision swiveling to a 2 3/8" diameter and then induction hardened to 45-50 Rockwell C for long wear with 3/8" hardened and polished steel balls.
Axle: Medium duty products use a 1/2" diameter bolt with a lock nut.
Lubrication Fittings: This series features high temp grease rated to 750°F in the swivel assembly and the wheels with roller bearings.
