    • Hamilton UMD Ultra Maxi-Duty Casters

    Hamilton's Ultra Maxi-Duty feature a load rating of up to 40,000 lbs. per caster, representing one of the highest capacity production caster series on the market today. When designing these heavy-duty casters, Hamilton's engineers built the series from the ground up with one task in mind – developing the most durable 40,000 lb. caster possible. This makes the UMD ideal for extremely heavy-duty applications such as shipbuilding, military, aerospace, and moving any other immense loads.     Primary Features and Specifications

     

    • Swivel Construction – 1" thick mounting plate and 3/4" thick precision laser cut steel legs that are continuously welded to both inside and out.
    • Kingpin – Guaranteed-for-life 1 1/2" dia. that is integrally formed with the mounting plate so that it won't bend or break.
    • Main Load Bearing – These casters feature two precision thrust ball bearings. The outer thrust bearing is 13" in diameter and boasts an impressive 234,000 lb. load rating. The inner thrust bearing is 7" in diameter and rated at a comfortable 100,000 lbs.
    • Secondary Load Bearing – A third highly specialized four contact bearing supports that integrally formed kingpin.
    • Axle – For the Press-on and Nylast casters, the axle is 2" in diameter, while all forged steel casters feature a 1-1/2" diameter axle, except for the 8" x 3" wheels, which have a 1-1/4" diameter axle.
