SECK casters have a forged steel top plate and fork base with 3/8" x 3" plate steel legs welded inside and outside to the forged steel horn base. FMK products have a 3/8" thick drop forged steel mounting plate and 5/16" x 2 1/2" plate steel legs robotically welded inside and outside to the forged steel horn base.
Kingpin: MD products feature a 1 1/4" diameter integrally forged kingpin with mounting plate guaranteed for life and threaded for a 1 1/4" slotted nut secured by roll pin for positive locking. SECK products are kingpinless. FMK casters use a 1" diameter integrally forged with mounting plate guaranteed for life, threaded for a 3/4" diameter lock nut.
Main Load Bearing: The MD line uses an HPI™ thrust bearing design with an outside diameter of 7 1/2", raceways hardened to 58-62HRC, and a 16 micro inch ground-to-surface finish. SECK caster wheels feature 3 5/8" diameter CNC-machined and hardened raceways with 5/8" balls.
FMK products have CNC-machined 3 1/4" diameter raceways and 1/2" diameter hardened and polished steel balls.
Secondary Load Bearing: MD caster wheels boast a 1 1/4" precision tapered thrust bearing design to counteract radial thrust. FMK uses a similar 1" thrust bearing design.
Axle: The MD line has a 1 1/4" diameter grade 5 hex head axle with a slotted nut and cotter pin. Both SECK and FMK uses a 3/4" diameter hex head with a lock nut.
Lubrication Fittings: MD and SECK casters feature a ball-check type design in the swivel assembly and in-wheel hubs with tapered or straight roller bearings. FMK products have a ball-check type design in the swivel assembly and wheel hub.
